Submissions should demonstrate how AI has been used to solve problems, improve operational efficiency, improve student outcomes, or generate impactful insights\u2014in an innovative, secure, ethical, and effective manner.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<hr \/>\n<section aria-labelledby=\"eligibility\">\n<h2 id=\"eligibility\">Eligibility<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The AI application must be created or co-created by at least one current TAIR member at the time of submission.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative projects with non-members are welcome, but at least one creator must be a TAIR member.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<\/section>\n<section aria-labelledby=\"requirements\">\n<h2 id=\"requirements\">Submission Requirements<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Include the following materials:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Project Overview<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Name, title, and institution of the person(s) submitting.<\/li>\n<li>Purpose of the application (problem addressed, process improved, desired output, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Technical Details<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Description of the application and the AI tools used.<\/li>\n<li>Steps taken to ensure security, compliance, accuracy, and ethical practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Impact Assessment<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Description of outcomes.<\/li>\n<li>Metrics used to measure success\/impact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Optional Supporting Materials<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Screenshots, prompt snippets, documentation, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<\/section>\n<section aria-labelledby=\"how-to-submit\">\n<h2 id=\"how-to-submit\">How to Submit<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Deadline:<\/strong> January 2, 2026 (late submissions will not be accepted).<\/li>\n<li>Email materials to <a href=\"mailto:past-president@texas-air.org?subject=TAIR%202026%20AI%20Award%20Submission\">past-president@texas-air.org<\/a> (Faron Kincheloe, TAIR Immediate Past President &amp; Chair of the Awards Committee).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<\/section>\n<section aria-labelledby=\"judging\">\n<h2 id=\"judging\">Judging Criteria<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Overall impact of the AI application<\/li>\n<li>Relevance to other institutions<\/li>\n<li>Originality\/Creativity<\/li>\n<li>Detail (accuracy, documentation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Category: Best Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Institutional Research The winner will be announced during the 2026 TAIR Annual Conference.
